MPI have conducted extensive research on Season based polices, this is an area where you should be particularly careful, get the wrong policy and it could cost you dearly. Please see our findings below:-
Example Policy 1
A general clause excluding accident or sickness at work. On enquiry we were informed it was not suitable for people working and the Employer should have his own policy.
Example Policy 2
A clause excluding 'gainful employment whether paid or not'. On enquiry we were initially informed the policy did cover working. This was later withdrawn.
Other examples are limited cover under the ski equipment section and many do not cover skiing or snowboarding off piste.
